Local shops for local people

29/9/2013

I like to go to the Treacle Market every month. Today it was busier than I have ever seen it. The nice weather helped, but it does seem to be going from strength to strength.

Although it's handy to be able to buy things very cheaply via the internet, it's also nice to be able to go into town and browse in independent shops. If we could somehow strike a a balance between the two then it would be ideal.

The same thing applies to financial advice. There is a proliferation of 'execution only' investment websites on the internet where the customer makes their own choices and saves on the cost of advice.

The problem with this is that novice investors have a tendency to invest in the 'flavour of the month' that has performed best over the last 12 months or so, even if this rise in value is rapid and unsustainable. If there is a subsequent plummet in value, it will invariably lead to a quick exit from the investment and a lingering feeling of injustice.

If you use an independent financial adviser, they are much more likely to put you into an investment that will meet your goals. Why not put your mind at ease by asking for advice on these important decisions? The benefit of using a local adviser is that you can get to know them and form a long term working relationship based on trust - not on selling you a product.

Please contact Mulberry Financial for a free meeting to see if we could work together.
