Pre Budget Report - Budget 2010
09/12/2009As a pensions adviser, I tend to listen to the Budget and the Pre Budget reports with pensions in mind.
I am happy to report that there were no real shocks in the Chancellor's statement today. There were suggestions from some commentators that there might be some further restrictions to the availability of higher rate tax relief on pension contributions, following the changes in the last Budget. Goodness knows that we don't need any more excuses for people NOT to invest in pensions - they seem to be able to find enough reasons for themselves at present!
